Plato is by far the oldest of the locos of the CR&DJR having been purchased in the mid-1980s for an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to build a garden railway.

I have fitted a meths burner and new safety valve from IP Engineering to No. 1 and currently the bodywork has been completely stripped. I have started on new bodywork that will transform the loco into a saddle tank. This project has been on the shelf for several years and isn't currently a high priority to complete, but here's a photo of the new bodywork in progress:
