The Train

Here are some shots of the RSSB rolling stock I purchased. I have one loco and a variety of wagons. As you can see the previous owner did a great job of weathering some of this stock. He also converted the loco to an American appearance; I will need to further change it, to create a larger cab appropriate for 16mm scale. The current driver is a scale 4 feet tall, so he'll need to be replaced too!

Here's the loco and the sole cane wagon:

More of the train: behind the loco are the solitary cane wagon, one of the three v-skips, one of three lumber bolster sets and two of the open lumber wagons.

A slightly over-flashed view of the rear of the loco and more details of the two open lumber wagons:

Side view of the loco, showing the neat weathering. The previous owner named his line the Guano Creek Mines railroad: I'll need to re-letter the loco to the Caecyno Tramway...

Here's a close-up of the timber bolster set. This one has been given the weathering treatment, the other two are in new condition. Some of the Regner stock has its original tension lock coupling system as on the bolster set, some has been changed to Kaydee couplers. I'll be moving everything over the Kaydees over time.

I also have four of these European-looking open wagons. These will need some modification.

Here's an interesting comparison: one the left are two 16mm scale Binnie tipper wagons. on the right the 13.5mm scale Regner tipper. They are very similar. Note that the Binnie Wagons sit quite happily on the 30mm gauge track: they have very wide trades on their wheels.
